destruction technique test

semi-advanced technique to simulate semi-massive destruction. essentially what i've done is created a "hero" or "perfect" building, then copied it (with texture lock on, of course) and deleted some walls, and added a few more brushes to really sell the idea that some big burst of... whatever tore through the building. place a teleport in the hero building that points towards the broken building, add some sound and visual effects, and presto: you now have an invisible strider. oh, and it took for-fucking-ever to get fraps to record audio at all, not to mention audio that didn't sound like it was recorded underwater. this map is about a year old, so the environment isn't indicative of my current work.
