This piece of work was done in Valve's, Hammer World Editor. This was an assignment where there was essentially no brief. All we were given was the theme, Steam Punk the Machine. After racking my brain for ideas I eventually came up with the concept of the game being set inside a steam powered computer. The player plays as the antivirus software battling against a particularly nasty virus. The basic aim of the game is to reach the motherboard and destroy the virus that have garrisoned themselves there via releasing the steam purge. However the purge fails and the game climaxes with the player attempting to escape from the computer via a 'S'USB HUB before the virus destroys it. Characters -- The Player -- Faceless John Massey (voice only) -- The Creator The Virus -- Various Combine This level was extremely basic in terms of detail, but i focused on the mechanics and ideas.
